I know more than you think
[Marking that rare occasion her interest is caught--] So some of you can still manage to be unpredictable. Imagine that. I believe our survival rate has gone up recently.

It seems a little lacking without only a giant spider to keep us company, doesn't it? There were four of you before, I wonder where the others are hiding.

all that you should ever seek to find
[Out in the streets, at a quiet hour of night, watching dots on a map. Most of them aren't moving, but she is, noticing how every now and then how one starts drifting off on its own. It's fun for a while, paying attention to which dots move in circles and which seem to have more of a destination in mind. And really, so many separated from the others. More than she would have expected given their history. But it has been quiet for too long.

She's restless, or close to it. All her planning really hasn't gotten her to what she wants in quite some time. And with Dante gone, it's easy to get a little homesick.

Still, she's not one to dwell. She gets closer to one of the more animated dots, and stops walking at the sound of footfalls. A shiver of electricity trails down to her arm; a moment later, a single lightning bolt strikes a faraway wall. Small, but with a nicely satisfying crash that echos loud enough to wake anyone nearby. She always preferred being the hunter, anyway.]

I'll have you know
[There's a face she hasn't shown in a while. But she has a point to make, and even if she's talking to someone who isn't there, she's hoping he hears it.]

I suppose that means you expect me to finish up here? That's fine. But don't expect me to share when I get back.

[Well, things never did go exactly to plan anyway. She looks to the camera then, giving a sly smile.]

I'll just have to get reacquainted then.

out here all night
It's disappointing.

We don't have any findings yet, have we? But I suppose with all of the new faces here, one of you is bound to run across something.

[Completely sincere.]

Isn't it strange, how calm things seem just before a storm hits? Of course, if there's anything I can do to help prepare, do let me know.

good for you
[The video feed comes on to a woman looking straight into the camera. She's on a rooftop; the casino can be seen in the distance, just over her shoulder. Once it's set up properly, she seems to nod in approval and sits down near the edge of the building.]

I have to imagine that this is quieter than usual. [She tilts her head thoughtfully.] That must has something to do with the murders, doesn't it? Are they still unsolved, or have you been investigating?

[A pause as she looks behind her, as if assessing.]

Until they are, I offer my services. [She smiles.] May the Savior be with you all.

[End recording.]

(ooc note - This is Gloria, Trish's alternate form that she used in DMC4 to infiltrate the Order of the Sword. Unless you know her canon, you probably won't know it's her. Okay? Okay. :) )

let me show you how
You know... I'm starting to think this is more of a permanent renovation. Maybe it just took them this long to pick out their favorite style.

[Sounding secretly amused.]

It's nice to hear that morale hasn't suffered. It makes me wonder if one of you have discovered more behind this than you've let on. Share and share alike, wouldn't you say?

[A pause and her tone gets slightly more serious.]

Whatever it is, I'm sure you won't disappoint.

and now you're mine
Well, how nice to finally be getting some attention.

[there's a growling noise in the distance which is swallowed by a few shots of gunfire]

-- Isn't this familiar.

I hope the rest of you are enjoying yourselves.

Well, it sounds like you've all survived so far. I didn't expect to hear you in such good spirits, but I suppose the city is only as bad as you make it.

Speaking of that though, should you have a little more urgency? So many of you were complaining about the weather. Or maybe you're waiting on someone to make a move --

Dante, what do you think? We really should do something for them, shouldn't we?

your lucky day
It's been snowing for some time now. The cold may not agree with everyone, but it's still rather beautiful, don't you think?

Apologies for not offering my congratulations sooner for saving the city. From what I can recall, you all did well. Perhaps we should think about having a celebration for your hard work.

what a lack of taste
Hmm... And what a pleasant week we've had. It's good to see so many eager to take what you can get, with so few offers of repayment. I wonder which of you really deserve this little reprieve.

Although it's a shame that I don't know who I should feel more indebted to. Perhaps one of you could direct me.

[Private to Dante]

If you're not busy.

Isn't this interesting. They come in waves, don't they? I wonder why you need so many.

What do you think, Dante?

I know more than you think
Well now, isn't this different? If this is Hell, I can't say I'm impressed with the remodeling job.

I hate to be the one to ask favors, but I've wasted enough of my time already. If you've seen a man with silver hair and a red leather coat running around, tell me where he is. He's probably been making a reputation here by now.

And if anyone wants to tell me who's in charge, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't curious.
